Enjeu
The 1920s building had original window openings that varied by up to ¾ in within the same room type, so standard hotel sizes would not fit. Guests had complained about light around the old drapery, and the hotel could close only three rooms at a time for installation.
Solution
The installer measured every opening and sent a window schedule by room. We confirmed a cassette with side channels for the guest rooms to reduce light gaps, and specified motorized 5% sunscreen shades on a single wall switch for the tall lobby windows. Production was split into two releases matching the hotel’s floor-by-floor plan, with every carton labeled by room number.
Résultat
All 66 shades were installed in nine working days. The hotel reports the rooms now get properly dark, and housekeeping no longer has drapery to launder. The owner has since asked for a quote for the hotel’s second property.
